Founded in
1978 FDC FOUNDRY initially focused on cast iron parts for the railroad industry
and consumer products such as wood burning stoves and skillets. In 1985 the
company installed its first induction melting equipment, and a state of the art
Baird DV-4 Spectrometer, and began producing steel to serve the local mining
and cement industries.
From
1990 to 1997 FDC continued expanding its capabilities by installing a Hunter 10
automated molding line that substantially improved molding efficiencies and
production capacity. Melting capacity was also increased during the same time
with the addition of two induction furnaces.
A
no-bake line, pit molding, heat treatment capabilities and a pattern shop were
also added increasing flexibility and gaining control over critical parts of
the process.
From
1997 to 2003 the company engaging in continued growth by up-dating its no-bake
line to a state of the art Kloster Molding System, and improving its in-house
pattern shop and machining capabilities.
Recently the company added a Pillar 8800 lb Induction melting unit, and is
installing two Osborn 730RJW Green sand molding machines and four
Eaton-PermCast machines for producing cast iron permanent molded parts , to
address the needs of the Hydraulic industry. Equipment, and extensive
development of manufacturing staff have increased both production capacity and
markets, while improving processes and reducing costs.
The
foundry has been serving the US and Canadian markets since 1987 and 1996
respectively and has a warehouse in El Paso, Texas, so that parts for US and
Canadian customers can be shipped FOB El Paso, TX. The company owns trucks and
equipment to make deliveries to the customer site in Mexico and across the US
border to our warehouse in El Paso, TX.
